Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a Thomas Safaris & Treks representative and transferred to your overnight accommodation in Arusha, where you can rest from your travels and get your first taste of Tanzanian Hospitality. DAY 1: ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK – KARATU
This morning, you will be met at your Arusha accommodation by your driver-guide and safari consultant for a quick safari briefing. After your briefing, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park for your first game viewing of this safari. The park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment less than 130 kilometers from Arusha town, is one of the oldest wildlife sanctuaries in East Africa. Here you will find a myriad of bird life, hippos, large buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra herds wandering on the grassy plains alongside giraffes (some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance). Late afternoon, you will proceed to your lodge situated in Karatu, very close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will enjoy a superb unobstructed view of the Ngorongoro Mountains.

DAY 2: KARATU – CENTRAL SERENGETI
After breakfast, drive to the Central Serengeti, with game viewing possible en-route. Enjoy a full afternoon exploring the world’s most famous wildlife preserve. Late afternoon/early evening, head to your luxurious tented camp for relaxation and dinner. The evening is yours to enjoy.

DAY 3: CENTRAL SERENGETI
After breakfast, delight yourself with a full day of game viewing in the Central Serengeti. Millions of animals and birds thrive in the park’s vast Savannah and hilly woodlands. You will see plentiful species of plains game, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, hippo, giraffe and numerous fascinating lesser-known animals. The Serengeti may be best known for its great annual migration (which passes through this area in June, October, and November), but the resident populations of animals are excellent all year round.

DAY 4: CENTRAL SERENGETI
After breakfast, depart for another full day of game viewing in the Serengeti, with picnic lunches. Alternatively, you can enjoy a hot lunch back at your camp and head out again for more game viewing later in the afternoon. Return to camp for an evening at your leisure and a delicious dinner.

DAY 5: NGORONGORO CRATER
Have an early breakfast and then proceed up to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and then down 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) to the crater floor for a full-day crater tour with picnic lunch. Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants; the lake area, where you may see the flamingos; and the open savannah, where the lions hunt for food. If your are lucky, you might even have the chance to see the elusive black rhino! Late afternoon, head to your lodge in the vicinity of Lake Manyara National Park, overlooking the Great Rift Valley wall.

DAY 6: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
This morning, get an early start to make the most of your time in Tarangire National Park. It has the vast number of baobab trees that will first catch your eye as you enter the park, a large proportion of Elephant which are said to be more than 1,000 years old! Tarangire boasts the second-highest concentration of wildlife of any Tanzanian national park (after the Serengeti) and, reportedly, the largest concentration of elephants in the world. It is also home to more than 700 resident lions.
Overnight: Tarangire Ole Serai Tented Camp . (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)
DAY 7: TRANSFER TO KILIMANJARO AIRPORT
After breakfast drive back Arusha ,Shopping on the way if needed then transfer to JRO to take your International flight back home .
