HIKING:
GEARS REQUIRED FOR CLIMBING
Upper Body
Long sleeves shirts, lightweight fabric (e.g., Smartwool or moisture-wicking fabric)
Short sleeve shirt, lightweight fabric
Very light fleece/microfleece or power stretch fleece
Soft shell jacket, heavier fleece, or synthetic sweater
Belay jacket (preferably down)
Poncho (optional in case of rain)
Sleeping bag
Lower Body
Hiking pants
Fleece pants
Waterproof pants
Long underwear, lightweight fabric (e.g., Smartwool or moisture-wicking fabric)
Hands
Lightweight or soft-shell pair of gloves
Thick pair of waterproof gloves, preferably with Gore-Tex
Thick pair of mittens (optional for those whose hands get cold)
Feet
Hiking boots, insulated and waterproof
Tennis or sports shoes to wear at camp
Hiking socks, preferably wool Lightweight sock liners
Gaiters (optional, but recommended)
Headwear
Sun hat (wide brimmed)
Lightweight wool liner hat (optional)
